it`so great to hang out with dusty again, it`s been 7 years.

A Toast to Spring!

drinking a fine wine with good friends under a most beautiful cherry 

tree with no other people and no blue sheets. this was a very private 

place surrounded by nature, wild pheasants squawking and running 

about with cherry flower petals falling upon us and in our wine glasses.

my winter break of 3 months from clay is over, now back in the

studio pushing some soft warm mud into a new spring series.

Shine Your Light & Catch Your Dreams!

Today, I give a 45 min. talk & dvd presentation to over 350 Jr. High
students and 150+ parents at Yasato`s Kakioka Jr. high school.

My talk was titled, "Shine Your Light Bright & Catch Your Dreams!"
& it was a FREAKIN`BLAST!!!

I printed up these cards w/this photo of chromatic light beings on the front & on the back a few choice sayings which have stuck in my mind. These were past out to all of the students which attended. (Japanese & English text below)

自分の光をもっと輝かせて、夢をつかもう!

周囲と自分がどこか噛み合わないと感じることはないかな？　
自分は周囲に適応出来ない人間だと感じることはないかな？
もし、そんな事があっても、少しも恐れることはない。
本当に怖いものとは、
僕たちは計り知れないほどパワフルだ!
ということなんだ.
そのパワーは神様がくれた贈り物。
僕たちに与えられた可能性の光。
だから、自分を出さない方が無難、と考えるのはもうやめよう。
周りを気にしてこじんまりしてしまうのはもったいないから。
それでは世界を縮めるばかりで、ちっとも良くしていけない。
誰でも小さな子どものように、きらきら輝くように生まれついているんだよ。
輝けるのは選ばれた人だけだと思うかな？　
そんなことはない、僕たち全ての人の中にその強い光は在る。
恐れずに自分自身の光のパワーを、どんどん放出し、思いっきり輝いて！
そうしたら、いつのまにか他の人も輝きだしているよ。
君たちには、他の人の縮こまっていた光を解放させてしまうほど、強い力があるんだよ。

君という人
世界でいちばん大切な人は自分、でも、それが自分であると気づくのはとても難しい。

ゴールデンルール
人が自分にしてほしいと思う事を人にしよう。

ぐずぐず、だらだら病は、君のいちばんの敵。


Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world there is nothing
enlightened about shrinking so that other people won`t feel
insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do.
It is not just in some of us, It is in everyone. And as we let our own
light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do
the same, as we are liberated from our own fear. Our presence
automatically liberates others.
